WAYS TO ENGAGE WITH THE PBA IN THE COMING MONTHS

These events are either sponsored by the PBA, or we are partnering with others to promote:

Pastor’s Prayer Gathering – today 1:30 PM at Freedom Life Church, 35 Tide Mill Lane, Hampton, hosted by Edwin Jones, Pastor of The Bridge Church. (One time event.)

Martin Luther King Day, A Day of ServiceMonday, January 16th 10 AM, North Phoebus Community Center, 249 West Chamberlin Ave., Hampton.

Pastor’s Prayer Gathering – Thursday, January 19th 2 PM at Grace Church, 467-A Denbigh Blvd., Newport News, hosted by Fred Michaux, pastor of City Life Church. (Every third Thursday, location varies.)

Chuck’s Coaching Cohort – Dates and times TBD. 8 to 10 sessions based on the book and workbook “What Happened to Our Church”.

Charles’s Front Porch Conversation About Justice – Every 2nd and 4th Saturday for three months, starting January 14, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Peninsula Baptist Association Resource Center. Sessions are free, but please sign up through the PBA office, or with Charles.

Fresh Expressions Vision Day – January 27th 9 AM to 3 PM, Ivy Memorial Baptist Church, 2200 Coliseum Drive, Hampton. Cost $35, includes lunch. www.freshexpressionsus.org

Dialogue on Racism, Poverty, and Violence – Every 2nd Wednesday at 11:30 AM, location varies. February 8th meeting is being hosted by Hampton Police Department. Contact Melanie to be added to the email list.

The Urgency of Now, Disrupting the Culture of ViolenceWednesday, February 15th, 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Hampton Roads Convention Center, 1610 Coliseum Drive, Hampton. www.hampton.gov/youthviolence.

Get Equipped Event – February 21st from 6 PM-8:30 PM, West Hampton Baptist Church, 631 Aberdeen Rd, Hampton. One time training event with multiple workshops. Contact Melanie for more info.
